Heart Game

You have the sensation of falling--no, drowning. Your lungs burn, you can’t breathe, you try to struggle but the current drags you down down down and just as you’re losing consciousness you know you’re dying...

You jerk, abruptly, the landing a little rough as you stand. Your clothes are dry and there’s no water in your lungs. You can breathe.

You find a bluetooth headset on your head, it crackles with static then goes silent.

This time it's obvious that Anri acts. Her eyes seem to flash red and her movements are so fast in contrast to her timid body language of a second ago. Her katana arcs, at inhuman speed as she jumps in front of the three boys, redirecting a set of glass the looks painful, if not deadly.

As two more mirrors shatter Anri redirects more damage. But you also notice the lights flickering. You hear it again, the sound that grates along the spine like the broken glass that isn't quite getting to your flesh. It's faint, but... Things are breaking in here too, like before.

Anri is starting to look pale under the blushing.
