Heart Game

You have the sensation of falling--no, drowning. Your lungs burn, you can’t breathe, you try to struggle but the current drags you down down down and just as you’re losing consciousness you know you’re dying...

You jerk, abruptly, the landing a little rough as you stand. Your clothes are dry and there’s no water in your lungs. You can breathe.

You find a bluetooth headset on your head, it crackles with static then goes silent.

((POWERS: all combat and non-healing powers are ON in this heart. Status removing powers and items are off. Healing powers and items are almost completely ineffective at the start, I'll tell you if it changes. You have all your equipment.))

Leaving this here as a handy place to note what changes are made heart-wide.

To begin with you can talk to each other on the headsets but only each other. You know instinctively you only have to think of who you want to contact. Conference calling is also on.

There will be a lot of static and reception may be bad though.

You stand in a strange black room. It’s large, probably. There don’t appear to be any actual walls and the floor and ceiling are difficult to distinguish except for where you stand. There’s no discernable light source but you can still see.

Busted up furniture is tossed in a heap. There are some other items as well--baseball bats, crowbars, nail pullers, biker helmets, football body padding, broken off chair legs, odd pieces of armor and weaponry, and other assorted things.

Four doors stand in this room, independent of any walls and scattered a little. They’re somewhat warped, and each sticks a bit when you try to open it. They come in different colors: a blue door, a red door, a yellow door and a black door.

A blond young man in a knight’s fantasy armor (like from a video game or anime, light and maneuverable) and yellow cape holds a thin sword, glaring at you.

“Oh. You’re back.”

The room is a high tech computer lab basically. You’ve got monitors and computers everywhere, and a main screen takes up most of one wall. In front of you is a work station but the whole place is trashed, like someone took a baseball bat to the equipment. Much of it is broken and damaged, offline or looking in need of complete replacement. Exposed wires crisscross everywhere, many of them unplugged, some of them cut.

Electricity sparks from a few cracked pieces of hardware, and water drips from the ceiling in a slowly but steadily growing puddle on the floor.

[clutches his throat a little and looks at the blond man in utter confusion]

Um.

Hello.

[starts once, gaze flickering over the surroundings, brows furrowed in worry. . .]

[and then focuses his attention on the blond guy]

Wouldn't do well to leave a mess we made uncleaned, would it?

Who're you?

[what is this thing on my head...]

...'Back', you say?

[takes a moment to collect herself and get her bearings before addressing the guy in the armor]

... "Back"...?

[well that was really unpleasant]

--What?

Hunter, what're you wearing?

[rubbing at his throat uncomfortably and frowning at the surroundings]

...Pretty sure I haven't been here before.

You’re in a tiny black room, barely tall enough to stand in, barely wide enough to hold you. There are no exits, just plain bare walls. There is no light.

"Yeah yeah, hi."

[ Takes in a deep breath, trying to keep his senses, feeling the walls around him for some kind of exit, or just... something ]

"Maybe you should have thought of that before making a mess! Or was that too difficult?"

"No need to ask for my autograph, for a pretty girl like you I'm the one and only, great Kida Masaomi."

[h-hahaha. . . brushes a hand through his hair]
