Heart Game

You have the sensation of falling--no, drowning. Your lungs burn, you can’t breathe, you try to struggle but the current drags you down down down and just as you’re losing consciousness you know you’re dying...

You jerk, abruptly, the landing a little rough as you stand. Your clothes are dry and there’s no water in your lungs. You can breathe.

You find a bluetooth headset on your head, it crackles with static then goes silent.

[also dubiously eyeing other Kit as he stuffs the leaf into his mouth, too]

[as soon as the leaf comes into contact with any part of your mouth, you feel a little woozy and tingly. But nothing beyond that!]

Actual Kit feels twice the effect....

[doesn't respond, just stumbles back as he's hit with twice the wooziness, reaching out to steady himself on the nearest surface]

[it's okay I stepford all the time. jerks his hand away from the mirror, pushing himself up straight and trying to ignore how the mirrors, the ground, the ceiling are kind of spinning]

"Ha! See, you can't hide that you're the double. Apple, be careful." Stepping up beside her protectively!

I'm fine, it's not a big deal--

[smile through it everything is fine everything is fine, even though it's hard to see straight and watching that guy stand next to Apple so protectively is just making him bristle again]

[bristling in turn, clearly mad. but reaching forward to check Kit's eyes, if he'll let her]

[the wooziness should be fading fast, though the tingling is still there]

[letting her. they probably look like. . . whatever they would look like after a double dose of leaf]

You don't need anyone to protect you, so that creepy guy over there doesn't need to keep standing next to you like he's your guardian or something.

. . . right, let's go. We've gotta find a way to carefully destroy these mirrors. Lloyd, Blizzard and I were doing it from a distance to avoid being cut up by shards.

Understood. If possible we should also locate an exit, in case we need to escape.

[points to mirror!Kit]

[holds out her hand to Kit for the crowbar]

Shall I do it? I've got armor on, so any shards should just bounce off, right?
