He's a little like "damn I messed up my first approach and it would have been fun to see if he could be poked back into monster viewpoint instead of OH NO REMORSE" not that he doesn't find remorse hilarious and just amusing as fuck, but it's more amusing to see if he couldn't get Mitchell to do things he'd regret. ALAS he fucked that up but he's not dwelling on it because it's not a big deal to him.

It's funny that Ninurta's on Mitchell's team so now he has to work a bit to balance a good person act for Ninurta and a "well yeah I'm a monster but this is mine and you need to respect that" for Mitchell about Ninurta. He doesn't view Mitchell as a threat to himself or his goals or anything, but he does acknowledge Mitchell is someone with influence with Ninurta so he does have to be a little careful.

At the same time he wouldn't mind messing with Mitchell more or just annoying him a lot. Like their game together he had a blast playing with Toboe. But that was made more fun because Mitchell was there being grumpy and glaring at him suspiciously the whole time. BASICALLY Mitchell is great fun and Just thinks it's a waste that he doesn't enjoy his unlife more, but as long as he's going to be all disgruntled and regretful about it Just will enjoy those feelings too. (Just enjoys everything.)

Thoughts back?

Mitchell basically has Noble categorised as a vampire in his head. Like not literally a vampire, but the way Noble was talking to him when he was moping set off a lot of red flags in his mind that correspond to the way that vampires in his world tend to act and look at the world. Hence Mitchell quoting "you're a shark, be a shark" at him, cause vampires comparing themselves to sharks seems to be a thing. So he's sort of... not as concerned about Noble as he could be? Because Noble is potentially a problem, but he seems like a familiar one. Mitchell feels like he's got him figured out and he's dealt with this sort of person before, so he can manage him. There's also no point in making a massive fuss about him before he's even done anything bad aside from be a dickhead. Better to just keep an eye on him and make the boundaries clear.

Which is basically where he is with Noble vs Ninurta. He's made it clear to Noble that fucking with Ninurta is not allowed, and he's made it clear to Ninurta that if anything happens Ninurta should tell the team so they can deal with it. He accepts Noble's assertion that Ninurta is his precious family for now because he can understand being a total monster in general but still having people you care about and protect. So he's not pleased about Noble hanging around, but he's not going to try and stop him or anything.

Oddly enough the vampire thing means he doesn't actually hold anything against Noble for the way Noble pokes at him. He's used to vampires poking at him like that and it doesn't actually bother him too much. He knows he's right and that he has the moral highground for actually wanting to be good and that vampires often can't understand it, and he's actually pretty happy for them to agree to disagree as long as Noble doesn't actually hurt anyone he cares about. It's why he more or less ignored him until Ninurta showed up. During the game he was irritated because he didn't want to show 'weakness' in front of Noble. Like he wasn't really trying to be grumpy at him so much as strong and manly? He was grumpy because the game would have been fun if he could have let himself play with it but no.

Does Shark have thoughts on Melody or do I need to bother him more? (Spoilers: I am going to bother Coral more anyway)
